Furthermore, the design is yours and stays with you, and you can carry it to whichever construction partner you choose. This gives you the ability to engage in a competitive tendering process that ensures you are getting the best price possible and are free to choose the construction partner that best suits you.
The Tender & Contract Process
We work closely with a range of builders. We understand not just their strengths and experience with various projects but also their quoting process. Once we’ve designed your project, we select a handful of builders from our panel (and any you may refer to us) and invite them to participate in submitting a quote for your build project. The construction tendering process involves inviting bids from contractors, evaluating them based on a criteria like cost and experience, and most importantly, ensuring that the bids submitted are an ‘apples to apples’ comparison so you know exactly what you are getting for the price you are paying. Once the tendering process has closed, we consult with you to select the winning bid for the project.
The Construction Process (Contract Administration)
Once we’ve worked with you to select a winning bid for your project, this marks the beginning of the construction phase. We will coordinate and arrange any and all necessary consultants that are required to bring your project to life. Contract administration is a crucial component of the construction process. We act as your representative and oversee the implementation of the construction contract. We will closely monitor the progress of your project, ensuring compliance with the contract documents, reviewing and approving payment applications, managing changes or variations to the contract, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise during construction. We also conduct regular site visits, prepare site observation reports, and facilitate communication between you, the contractor, and any other project stakeholders. By providing contract administration services, we play a vital role in ensuring that the project is constructed in accordance with the design intent, quality standards, and contractual obligations, ultimately helping to deliver a successful and well-executed construction project from start to finish.
